I was renting from a storage facility and I had been storing my furniture and clothes for approximately 5 months. No I did not get the insurance (will never make that mistake again)…but upon reading the insurance only advised against weather and burglary…I had no idea that the facility had a mouse problem.

Upon moving out my items, i found that some mice had obviously had a party in my unit. It was poop everywhere. they had completely eaten my mattress and nested in them. It was poop all in my clothes and anything that wasnt taped up.

My issue is that they state that they are a clean facility. when i went there on saturday it smelled of urine or some sort of animal smell through out the inside of the building and it smelled really bad inside of my unit itself (which was stored on the inside unit, not an outside one). Their ad states that they pride in cleanliness of their units (obviously a joke).

They also state that an exterminator comes but I only saw mouse bait stations, inside my unit!!! which obviously would draw the mice in and kill them inside my belongings.

what do i have the power to do? please help. I have had to get rid of my furniture and some clothes…not sure what to do next or if I have brought any mice into my new apartment. Is pain and suffering or false advertisment true in this case?
What they are telling me is there is nothing they can do because i didnt get the insurance. however upon research of the insurance provider they use, they state that they dont protect against vermin and rodents. So am I just assed out in the matter?

Oh, and upon answering my questions please be courteous…I am simply asking because I dont know..and I am only trying to get help.
