OK, my friends have told me they are getting me a hamster as a birthday gift, cos I know how to take care of them and stuff like that. Its OK, cos I have two budgie cages, but it might take a few days (maximum 3) to switch the budgies into the other cage (they get very nervous)
So would it be OK to keep the hamster in a large plastic storage box- like this- http://www.wilkinsonplus.com/invt/0239167
lined with wood shavings (not sawdust) with the lid off- for a couple of days? I would attach a water bottle and food bowls and stuff, and all it needs.
Only for a few days?
