My boyfriends parents (both CPA’s) signed for a credit card for my boyfriend to get us a TV and he gave the money to his dad to make the payment… then his dad stole the TV out of our storage unit and now is asking for the remote.. well, it’s in the bottom of a box at the bottom of the pile and i’m 3 months pregnant.. im not climbing around making a mess to find it, especially since I’m moving in 2 weeks and they can wait until then…..anyway, i texted his dad for a copy of my return because i need it for FAFSA or I will not get financial aid for my summer courses… He agreed, said it was fine and THEN his WIFE.. (my bf’s step mom A CPA) decided to text me and say “we’re not giving you a copy of your tax return until we get our remote to OUR tv”…………? Is this even legal? Can I report them? I really can’t afford to wait months to receive a copy from the IRS……. And needless to say, they have no part in my childs life in the future, they disgust me. What are my rights here? Am I entitled to get a copy of my own tax return?!

Resolved Question: Which size “connector bolt” would you recommend for connecting 2×4’s to other 2×4’s ?

I am building a storage box and it’s main structure will be made from 2×4’s. I would like to know what size connector bolt is the ideal size for this application.
I think I should provide some more information. The main support beams/corners would be secured with wood screws. I plan on attaching other pieces using the connector bolts. This is how I am planning it.

Top Base = Four 2×4’s secured using wood screws to form a square that cannot be disassembled.
Bottom Base = Four 2×4’s secured using wood screws to form a square that cannot be disassembled.
Vertical Posts = Eight 2×4’s secured using the connector bolts so that I can detach and reattach the vertical posts at any time.
