I had been with this girl for about a year and a half. I am 23 and she is 20. We live (d) together and she is now staying at her girl friends house. Over the past few months we had fought a lot, about unimportant things mostly . In any case, as we drifted apart we slept in separate bedrooms and were on bad terms for the most part. It finally boiled over about 2 weeks ago. I said some really mean things to her, really mean things that definitely hurt her. She left and hasn’t come back. This is where my question comes. She relayed to a common friend that she was miserable since she left and wanted to come back and be with me and work things out. She told this friend that she loved me and couldnt eat or sleep, etc. Basically, she just that she wanted to get back together. Upon hearing this, I called her (the next day) to try to smooth things over. She responded by saying she didnt mean those things she had told the friend and had changed her mind (overnight apparently) and she was over me and didnt want to get back together. It made no sense that she all the sudden could take all of that back, just a day later. That was 5 days ago. I tried to talk to her today but she said she was looking for a storage unit (for her things in our place) and didnt want to talk. I dont know what to think or what to do. Do you think she is really over me? Is there something I should do? Please keep in mind she works 9-5, takes no lunch break and then immediately goes to her girlfriends house. Any advice is appreciated.
